Goals for 2010 - How Bout You?

Just wanted to post a bit on this last day of 2009. So many things have happened and changed for so many in the course of a year. And while everyone is feeling a bit of a crunch, maybe some more than others, I wanted to look at the bright side of 2009.

Think of all that you have learned in the past year, the area's where you fell short that taught you a lesson... and then ask yourself, how will you use what you have learned in 2009 to make 2010 better. Will you be a better planner, eat healthier, document better, maybe be more resourceful. Whatever the case may be there is something that each of us can learn from the past year.

I do believe that we then have the responsibility to take what we learn and apply it - use it for not only our own betterment, but also for those around us. Whether it is your neighbor, your community, your family or even your animals, it is there to be used. And it will make a difference.

So instead of making New Years resolutions that focus on problems, lets make New Years Goals that will make a positive impact on us and our world. Everyone has a lesson they have learned in 2009, how will you use yours to improve 2010?

Happy New Year & Decade Everyone!!

Is Raw Food the Only Way??

Okay, so now that I have proven that "blogging" is not my hidden talent, um sorry for the long delay, I am going to try something a bit different. I am going to attempt a short update once or twice a week and see how that goes. Hopefully that way you don't give up on me - I am still here and would love to hear from you.

For some reason when I sit down to start writing, I feel as though I have to have all the answers about Organic Wheatgrass and Wheatgrass Juicing. And to be quite honest, I don't. What I CAN share with you are the things it is doing for me as well as things I have found in the research I have done.

Lately I have come across a great deal of information with the benefits of wheatgrass, some people call it a "super food" and a vital part for proper nutrition. And from what I have personally experienced I have to agree. However, that is for a future blog, not this one.

Much of this information comes from the Raw Food diets or Vegan/Vegetarian diets and I do believe there is a lot that everyone can learn from these sources. However, for myself, I don't plan on becoming a Vegetarian or only eating raw food. No offense is meant by this to anyone, it's just for myself, I believe there is a balance. A proper balance. And I honestly believe that each one of us has to find that balance for our own body.

If you feel better eating a raw food diet; fantastic! If you find the proper balance for your body is to stick to vegetarian meals great! However if that doesn't work for you I encourage you to find out what does. No judgement either way, just encouragement to pay attention and to care about what your body is telling you. This is what my goal is. To find balance.

Can we all benefit from eating more raw food? Of course. Can we all benefit from eating less meat and more vegetables? Of course. So why not try and add a bit more into your diet simply because it is better? Am I going to give up my organically grown farm fresh eggs? No. Am I going to give up my favorite cuts of hormone free beef we raise ourselves. Mmm probably not. But I will eat them in moderation. I will and have added Wheatgrass juice to my diet as well as other juices and felt a big difference - a positive difference in how I feel.

I encourage you to join me. Let me know what has worked for you and what has not and I will do the same. Lets help each other find the proper balance for ourselves, to be able to live healthier fuller lives. We are only here once after all, lets make it the best we can!

Thank you for listening and letting me share. Hopefully it won't be as long till the next post.
In the mean time - Merry Christmas to you and yours!! May you have more blessings than you can count this year!
